Rob Doomen

Open and honest. Energetic. These characteristics are an integral part of R.M.J. (Rob) Doomen. Rob started at Pieters Bouwtechniek in Delft in 2003. He is a member of the Management Team and has been a partner since 2010. But above all, he is a structural consultant. Focus and depth are at the core of his consulting, his active role is greatly appreciated by our clients.

The combination of an introverted technician and the human side of a manager are what make him so good at what he does. Rob considers it a challenge to explain complex structures in an understandable manner to people without technical backgrounds.

Rob is an all-rounder. His enthusiasm rises to the surface when he is devising structural designs. He does this in intensive collaboration with other disciplines, with the common goal of realizing a good, but absolutely also a beautiful, building. He believes that a positive atmosphere within a design team has a positive influence on the result. Along with this, it is important that colleagues within the sector do not begrudge each other their successes.

At Pieters, he has the opportunity to design bold structures, to work innovatively. In his own words, he gets ‘a kick out of exceptional constructions’.
