Housing cooperative De Warren festively opened
On Friday 21 April, De Warren Housing Cooperative was festively opened by Reinier van Dantzig, alderman for housing. After 6 years of cooperative development, De Warren has delivered 36 affordable and sustainable rental homes. The complex is Amsterdam's first completed self-build housing cooperative and is managed by the residents themselves.
The complex has been nominated for the Amsterdams Architecture Prize 2023.
De Warren is an inspiration for the residential sector and shows that it is possible to realize sustainable and affordable homes in a cooperative manner.
