VMBO Leerpark Groene Hart completed

7 June 2020

The new school building of the Groene Hart Leerpark in Alphen aan den Rijn has been completed.

The new Leerpark with a floor area of 9,265 m2 offers space for more than 750 VMBO students. The project consists of three new gymnasiums, realistic practice rooms for technology, services and media, theory rooms and a beautifully light and clear auditorium. In addition, the new accommodation will soon accommodate SCOPE's support services.

Pieters Bouwtechniek was the main constructor from the first sketch to delivery. The construction of the building, including load-bearing facades, has been prefabricated as much as possible in order to enable rapid construction. A special task in the design and construction was that the foundation had to be realized above an existing trunk sewer, which is situated diagonally across the project location.

After completion, the work continues with the demolition of the old school and the construction of the site. From August 31, 2020, the pupils will move into the school.
