Status construction POST Rotterdam

The construction of POST on Coolsingel in Rotterdam is progressing steadily. POST is the former main post office of Rotterdam and one of the few remaining historic buildings in Rotterdam. The national monument will accommodate a hotel and a new residential tower will be realized in the former courtyard.

At the stamp-sized construction site, the finishing touches are currently being made to the reinforcement of the 3.5 meter high waffle beams, as can be seen in the photos opposite. These waffle beams form the top of the 21.5 meter high table construction, on which the rest of the high residential tower will soon be located, which will be 154 meters high in total.

The table construction has columns (table legs) of 2.5 x 2.5 meters and a table top of 3.5 meters thick concrete. The tower above it has a concrete core, several transverse walls and a further column structure up to the 43rd floor.
