Pieters engineers chocolate factory

Pieters has a wonderful new assignment. We are going to engineer a chocolate factory.

We will do this for the Chocolate makers. Since 2011, Rodney & Enver make real chocolate. They do everything in the process, from bean to bar. It is the only Dutch chocolate company that controls every link in the chain itself. This allows them to do everything as sustainable as possible.

They buy high quality organic cocoa directly from the farmers in Congo, Peru and the Dominican Republic. They do this for a good and fair price. 

As the Chocolate makers grow out, they are building a new sustainable building. The sustainability that is so strong in the products is also reflected in the building.

The foundation will be an underground concrete construction with a concrete floor, suitable for a free layout of all machines. Taking into account extensions to the production line.

The intermediate floors are hollow-core slabs on a casco of steel beams and columns for storage and offices. A curved roof is realized entirely of glass panels with solar collectors.
