Highest point for Van der Valk hotel Zuidas
After a long preparation and intensive construction, the milestone of the highest point has finally been reached for the Van der Valk Amsterdam, hotel Zuidas. This non-standard Van der Valk hotel forms a counterpart to the Nhow Rai Hotel, on the other side of the A10 on the Zuidas in Amsterdam.
Prestressed floors and an almost meter-thick table construction were needed to make the spectacular design of Wiel Arets Architects possible.
The building is approximately 55 meters high and will accommodate 240 hotel rooms, restaurants, conference facilities and a spa and wellness area. There are also four above-ground parking levels with a total of 143 parking spaces.
