Datacenter AM4 opened
It's very normal for us: We tap Netflix.com or tap a movie in the Facebook app. Within a few seconds, the video will start. This is so fast because of dozens of buildings in the Netherlands, which look like mega block boxes: data centers. It contains tens of thousands of servers. On July 5, 2017 opened a new 'box' along the A10 in Amsterdam.
The building contains 21,000 m2 and is 72 meters high. The data center is being implemented in accordance with US LEED certification, which imposes strict requirements on sustainability, design and operational performance.
Pieters Bouwtechniek is the Coordinating advisor. Pieters Bouwkunde performed the architectural effect.
