Campus BUas winner BLASt prize 2020

The transformation of the BUas (Breda University of Applied Sciences) campus in Breda has been unanimously declared the winner of the BLAStprijs 2020 by the jury.

BLAST price
The BLAStprijs, the Breda prize for landscape, architecture and urban development, is an initiative of the Breda architecture platform BLASt, supported by the municipality of Breda. The aim of the prize is to stimulate the development of spatial quality in Breda. The prize was awarded for the fifth time this year.

Transformation of BUas campus
During the transformation of the BUas campus, two existing education buildings and a former monastery were transformed and embedded in a green, traffic-free park. Common functions and entrances have been rethought and strategically positioned. One new breakthrough ensures that the three existing inner gardens of the monastery become the lobbies of the complex.
