Vote for the 'Amsterdam Nieuwbouwprijs 2018'
What is the best or most beautiful new construction project in Amsterdam? The answer to that question comes closer now that the final for the 'Amsterdam Nieuwbouwprijs 2018' has erupted. Various projects of Pieters Bouwtechniek and Pieters Bouwkunde compete for this award.
Liveability
The block has been carefully fitted into the buildings on the Ridderspoorweg. Parking has been solved at ground level below the block, which limits the parking pressure in the neighborhood.
Housing quality
The complex contains fourteen apartments of various sizes, and is characterized by its spacious, three-meter-high ceilings and deep balconies at the front and rear. The result is a series of unique apartments ranging from 37 m2 to 129 m2, and two penthouses of 192 m2 each on the top floor.
Added value for the neighborhood
Buiksloterham strives for a self-sufficient neighborhood, with closed material cycles, based on a 'zero waste' and 'zero emission' and with a heart for local economy. CPO project Noord4us has integrated these ambitions into the design in its own way. The complex is very durable designed. For example, triple glazing, PV panels on the roof and heat-cold storage with a solar-driven heat pump.
Liveability
An existing old school building that had fallen into disuse, has once again gained an active place in the neighborhood with the new layout of eight homes. All residents came from the neighborhood.
Housing quality
Because of the design of Co-contracting, the building group had a say in how the building would look like. In addition, various sustainable facilities such as solar panels have been installed and every resident has had his interior fully customized.
Added value for the neighborhood
A disused school has been preserved and has received a new vivid destination. In addition, residents of the city are housed in their own neighborhood in a larger home, resulting in smaller homes being vacated for new residents of Amsterdam.
Liveability
The Van der Pek neighborhood in Amsterdam-North consists of 1476 homes and retail spaces. This garden village was the first major urban expansion in Amsterdam North. The entire district is a state-protected city and village view. Ymere has now tackled the southern part and radically renovated 172 homes in the social sector.
Housing quality
The buildings have been given a new foundation and the living floors underfloor heating. The houses have been completely demolished and subsequently a new layout has been made; the returning residents have designed the new housing layout themselves. The hood is insulated and equipped with new roof tiles. All installations in the homes have been renewed; the energy label has been brought from G to A. In close consultation with the Monuments & Archeology and the Spatial Quality Committee, it has been determined how and how the outer shell of the houses has been restored. The houses for sale also have to follow these guidelines when renovating. A few houses have been converted into retail and catering spaces at Van der Pekplein.
Added value for the neighborhood
From maligned to loved; that is about the corridor that this neighborhood has gone through in the last five years. There are many hundreds of reactions for each rented home.
