Opening NLR Marknesse

On Monday 25 June 2018 the official opening of the Dutch Aerospace Center in Marknesse will take place. The opening will be carried out by Cora van Nieuwenhuizen, Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management.

With the impressive new building with 7 large halls and various research facilities, there is a solid foundation to continue our innovative solutions with an impact on social issues for and with the government and the business community.

During the opening there will be a mini-symposium: 'Electric flying for 2050: dream or opportunities for the Netherlands?'

Will electric flying be successful before 2050 or not? Only for small aviation or also large aviation? Where do we stand in terms of knowledge and technology? What does this mean for airports, infrastructure, the sector, suppliers? Should the Netherlands take a leading role? What opportunities does electric flying offer for the Netherlands?
