3 Pieters nominations Amsterdam New Construction Prize 2024

Three Pieter's projects have been nominated for the Amsterdam New Construction Prize 2024.

This concerns the projects De Warren, Crossover and Juf Nienke. The other 7 nominated projects are IJburg 1c, Wiltzangh & Flierefluiter, Amst, Beemsterstraat 531a, De Mahonie, Jonas' and Lariks.

De Warren
The Warren is a project on Center Island with 36 energy-positive, wooden, social and medium-priced rental homes that are rented out under its own management to the members of the housing cooperative.3 years ago, De Warren started working with its architect Natrufied Architecture and 50 community members to design a sustainable and social building.

Crossover
Crossover, designed by Team V Architectuur, is located near Kop Zuidas, on the corner of the A10 South exit and the Europaboulevard. The building is a mix of living, working and various facilities. The building consists of six residential floors on one side and nine office floors on the other side, with a connecting layer on the ground floor.

Juf Nienke
Juf Nienke, designed by RAU and SeARCH, consists of 61 fully wooden rental homes, designed to provide a modern and sustainable living environment for residents from education, police and healthcare. This target group of residents was chosen because the lack of suitable living space causes a major shortage of personnel in certain professional groups in Amsterdam.

The Amsterdam New Construction Prize
The Amsterdam New Construction Prize is the public prize for new construction in Amsterdam. These are projects that were completed in the city in the past year. The prize is organized by Amsterdam Woont, the Municipality of Amsterdam, AT5 and Bouwend Nederland.

This year 78 projects are participating. In the preliminary round, the public jury nominated the best 10 projects. All new construction projects larger than 4 homes and completed from August 2022 to August 2023 are automatically included.

The prize will be presented by councilor Reinier van Dantzig on Saturday, June 8.
