Web tool Borgr: step forward in structural safety
During the symposium of the Structural Safety Knowledge Portal (KPCV) on May 2 in Utrecht, the brand new web tool Borgr was launched with great enthusiasm. This tool is an important step forward in KPCV's mission to pay maximum attention to structural safety in all phases of every construction project.
Borgr: ensuring safety throughout the entire process
Borgr is an online tool that ensures structural safety throughout the entire development process. From the go-ahead to the delivery and use of a structure, Borgr guides the user through the project step by step. The tool asks specific questions about safety in each phase, so that attention is paid to potential risks in a timely manner. Users can confirm answers, add relevant information and inform their team members, both internally and externally.
Collaboration for a safer construction process
The development of Borgr is a joint initiative of KPCV and its partners. During the launch, speakers, including Job Dura (CEO Dura Vermeer), Joost Nelis (COO BAM Nederland), Paul Hooijschuur (partner Pieters Bouwtechniek), Jeroen Lammertse (director Aboma) and Dick Stoelhorst (chairman KPCV), called on all chain partners in construction to use this new web tool.
First experiences with Borgr
During the symposium, Dik Spekkink (content manager KPCV), Ronald de Groot (safety expert at Dura Vermeer) and René Sterken (head of cluster Design & Engineering at BAM Advies & Engineering) explained how Borgr works and shared their first experiences with the tool. The responses were unanimously positive: Borgr is seen as a user-friendly and practical tool that can make a significant contribution to ensuring structural safety in construction.
The future of structural safety
With the launch of Borgr, KPCV is taking an important step in increasing the structural safety of the construction sector. The tool has the potential to significantly improve safety on construction sites and thus reduce the number of construction accidents.
