Construction of POST Rotterdam in full progress

 The construction of POST on the Coolsingel in Rotterdam is in full swing. A lot of work has been done on the waffle beams in the past period.

POST is the former main post office of Rotterdam and one of the few remaining historic buildings in Rotterdam. The national monument will house a hotel and a new residential tower will be built in the former courtyard.

The reinforcement of the 3.5 meter high waffle beams has been placed on the postage stamp-sized construction site. These waffle beams form the top of the 21.5 meter high table structure, on which the rest of the high residential tower will soon be located, which will be 154 meters high in total.

The first waffle beams on which the core of the tower is built are gray. Work is now underway on weaving the top floor and the outer waffle beams and the first parts of the tower's core and columns.

The developer of the project is Omnam Group and Pieters Bouwtechniek provides the advice for the structural design.
