Highest point of the new Bennebroek Fire Station

Evelien Bouterse of the Kennemerland Security Region congratulated the executive team on achieving this milestone. Elbert Roest (mayor) of the Municipality of Bloemendaal was also present and placed the flag at the highest point from the Fire Brigade aerial work platform.

The contours are already becoming quite visible. A garage, changing and washing rooms and storage for materials can already be clearly seen. There will be an instruction/training room on the first floor. After the construction holiday, a start will be made with the outer walls and the further finishing will follow. The new barracks are expected to be ready in late 2023 - early 2024.

In addition to being a voluntary fire station, the fire station in Bennebroek of the Kennemerland security region is also partly used for the field service of the Municipality of Bloemendaal (including greenery equipment). The 1970s building was in need of replacement.

There will be a future-proof new barracks. During the demolition and new construction phase, temporary units were placed on the site on Wilhelminalaan. The temporary accommodation will be there until the new barracks are ready.
