E-Mobility Park nominated for architecture prize
The E-Mobility Park in Vlissingen has been nominated for the Zeeland Architecture Prize 2021.
Zeeland Architecture Prize 2021
Like every year, CBK Zeeland, together with the Zeeuws Architectenplatform and the PZC, organizes the 'Zeeland Architecture Prize 2021' (realizations of 2020). The theme is “Architectural climate in the Zeeland landscape”. These keywords form the basis of the judging of the entries.
E-Mobility Park
In Vlissingen, a shared car park has been realized on the Kenniswerf site. There are 5 electric shared cars that can be used by business customers and private individuals. At the park you can leave your bicycle or charge your own electric car at one of the public charging points. The park has a fully cradle-to-cradle construction with solar panels that generate 75,000 km of electricity annually.
The aim is to make mobility more sustainable and to make efficient use of vehicles by sharing them. The ambition is to realize several E-Mobility Parks at smart locations in Zeeland.
All materials for the E-Mobility Park are on loan. The students of Scalda, a school for secondary vocational education (MBO) and adult education, built it.
Prize giving
The award ceremony to the eventual winner will take place during the National Day of Architecture on June 18.
