Wooden support structure King Willem I College
At the beginning of this year, the new construction of the Koning Willem I College in ‘s-Hertogenbosch started.
The absolute eye-catcher of the project is the new entrance building, which will be placed in front of the existing building. What is special is that the five-storey entrance building has a completely wooden supporting structure. This makes it one of the first buildings in the Netherlands to use such a construction on this scale.
For this project we are working together with architect Nieuwe Architecten, contractor Heerkens van Bavel and wood supplier Heko Spanten.
Pieters had a video made in which he tells more about this wooden construction.
