Diamond grant nominated for MIPIM Award 2020

Capital C, the old Diamond Exchange in Amsterdam, has been nominated for the MIPIM Awards 2020. There are 12 categories and Capital C has been nominated within the category: Best refurbished building.

This category focuses on how a building can have a second life. Renovation or extension projects of any type (office, hotel, residential, commercial, culture, etc.) have been selected for this.

After the Diamond Exchange has been restored to its full glory, it is ready to meet the city again. Not only by being an attractive center for the creative industry, but also by offering a new public space with exceptional qualities. The relationship with the turret and the bell dome was decisive in the design. The new roof structure keeps its distance from the turret and is separate from it, so that the dome tower has again become an eye-catcher. The foundation has also been restored and an extra parking layer has been added under the building, so that the ground floor is better (commercially).

An international twelve-person jury has announced the finalists.

MIPIM Cannes is the world's leading real estate fair and will take place from March 10-13, 2020 this year. Approximately 23,000 people are expected to attend the intensive four-day MIPIM program. The winners will be announced during the prestigious MIPIM Awards Ceremony.
