Festive start of construction De Colijn in Rijswijk
Alderman Armand van de Laar gave the go-ahead for the construction of De Colijn residential tower, on the corner of the P.C. Boutenslaan and Dr. H. Colijnlaan in Rijswijk, on Wednesday 26 June. At the festive ceremony, a transparent container with greeting cards was buried. The residential tower is being built on this site.
The Colijn was designed by Burobeb architecten. The characteristic architecture from the 50s and 60s has been used as inspiration for the design and has been given a modern twist. The warm red brick at the bottom and the white high-rise at the top form a beautiful contrast and at the same time fit well into the environment. The building consists of thirteen floors with 81 apartments of various sizes, 3 penthouses and 2 commercial spaces.
Amvest and Smit's Bouwbedrijf are jointly developing this beautiful and stately residential building in Rijswijk.
