Zinder in Tiel receives Cities in Motion (StiB) Award 2019

The Zinder multifunctional center in Tiel has been declared the winner of the Cities in Movement (StiB) Award 2019. The prize is intended for the most successful area reinforcement that contributes to the vitality and dynamics of the city or village. De Zwarte Hond was not only commissioned by the VolkerWessels construction group to design the building, but was also responsible for the urban design and - together with Felixx - for the landscape design.

Since 2017, the new cultural building Zinder has been located between the city center of Tiel and the Waal, with a multifunctional hall, the library, Zinder Education, the center for the arts, and a four-level underground parking garage. Furthermore, new living space has been realized in the form of different types of (city) homes and apartments.

The Westluidense Poort is the 'cultural gate' of the city of Tiel: a center for art, culture, information and education.
