Simon Snoek

Engineer S.A. (Simon) Snoek loves his profession, he is enthusiastic and he maintains the upper hand and remains calm in all situations. He started as a structural engineer at Pieters Bouwtechniek in 2002 and has since grown into the position of Branch Director in Amsterdam.

Ambition, knowledge and expertise are important values at Pieters Bouwtechniek, according to Simon. He is extremely capable when it comes to reconciling the requirements and desires of the client, the architect and the other advisers and thereafter when it comes to processing this into sound advice. Like all Pieters people, his knowledge extends far beyond his own discipline. Clients like it when you can look beyond your own field of expertise. Offer more than simply structures.

In his role as Branch Director, Simon thinks a good working atmosphere is extremely important. For him it is a challenge to look, together with his colleagues, for new fields of development. Always continue to develop within your field; that is essential.

Just like many of his colleagues, Simon is also an all-rounder. He does though have a preference for steel structures, since the material lends itself to innumerable possibilities. It is light, you can create bold shapes with it, you can go ‘slim’ and, what's more, you can build sustainably with it.

His point of departure is ‘make work your business’: High-quality construction-related consulting and good service are the calling cards of the company. If you can deliver that, clients and architects will come back to you.
